Unlike most other Realtors or Property Managers, I did not happen into this business by accident. I earned my BA in Advertising from California State University Fullerton, and MBA in marketing from National University in San Diego and immediately went to work in the Real Estate industry. Since then, I’ve held key industry leadership roles on both coasts - in California and Florida - as Regional Manager, Director, and VP. These roles gave me deep experience in all areas of Property Management, Marketing/Advertising, and Real Estate Technology.

In 2012, I made the move to Colorado and launched The Springs Team from my living room. A major milestone came in 2020 when we merged with Compass Rose Property Management. Since then, my business partner Tami and I have more than doubled our company’s size, expanded our service area, and remained focused on delivering exceptional value to our clients.

What began as a solo venture has grown into a dedicated team of eight full-time professionals. Today, we manage nearly 500 single-family rental homes, assist clients with buying and selling 15–20 homes annually, and have recently added two mobile home parks to our portfolio.

Outside of running and growing the business, I’m actively involved in advocacy work. I serve on both local and state associations, lobbying to protect your property rights and support landlords across Colorado.

With nearly two decades of experience in real estate and property management, Tami brings a powerful blend of financial expertise and industry insight to the team. A CPA candidate with a strong background in accounting, Tami specializes in the financial operations that keep property management businesses running smoothly.

Tami joined the team with her own portfolio of rental properties and quickly became a vital resource for both clients and colleagues. Her extensive experience includes forensic accounting for property managers nationwide, ensuring that escrow accounts are properly reconciled and that all funds are accurately tracked and reported. She has also guided numerous property managers through complex state audits, always prioritizing transparency and regulatory compliance.

Tami earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Her approach is rooted in integrity—no matter how challenging the situation, she believes in doing what’s right, every time.

Jason has been working in property management since 2014 and is known for his integrity, professionalism, and genuine care for both residents and colleagues. Over the years, he has built a strong reputation as someone people can rely on—approachable, fair, and committed to doing things the right way.

As our most senior property manager, Jason brings a depth of experience and insight that benefits not only his own portfolio but the entire team. Whether he’s solving a complex issue for a resident or mentoring newer team members, he approaches every task with patience, dedication, and a team-first mindset.

Having lived in Colorado Springs for over 20 years, Jason has an in-depth understanding of the local market, neighborhoods, and the unique needs of property owners and tenants in the area. His local knowledge and steady leadership make him an invaluable part of our company and a trusted partner to the clients we serve.

As a South Florida transplant now proudly calling Colorado Springs home, I bring over 15 years of experience in Customer Relations across Hospitality, Restaurant Management, and now Property Management. With a strong foundation in service and a passion for helping others, I’ve spent the past 3 years dedicated to the property management industry.

I believe in a hands-on, people-first approach—working closely with both property owners and tenants to ensure their needs are met with professionalism, transparency, and care. My goal is to build long-lasting relationships rooted in trust and open communication.

MJ began her real estate career in 2006 at the front desk of a busy real estate office in Colorado Springs. What started as a job quickly turned into a passion, and by 2010, she had earned her real estate license and fully embraced the journey of helping clients find their perfect homes.

After a rewarding decade in the industry, MJ decided to retire in 2021. But retirement didn’t stick!  After just ten months, she realized how much she missed the energy and connection that real estate brings. In 2022, she joined The Springs Team part-time, and it felt like coming home.

With years of experience, a deep love for Colorado Springs, and a genuine commitment to her clients, MJ continues to be a trusted and valued part of the real estate community.

Lenore Leavey is the Maintenance Coordinator at The Springs Team. Although new to real estate and this role, she brings over 20 years of exceptional customer service experience to the team. Prior to joining The Springs Team, Lenore worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and caregiver, and spent many years at The Broadmoor, where she developed a strong foundation in 5 star client-focused service.

She is a proud graduate of the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, holding a degree in Psychology with medical emphasis. Her background has equipped her with deep insight into communication, which she uses daily in her work coordinating with vendors, tenants, and homeowners. Lenore is also a certified Notary Public.

Outside of work, Lenore enjoys camping adventures with her husband and children, and she’s always up for a great concert, movie or festival.

Tasha joined The Springs Team in 2023 as the friendly face at the front desk and quickly became an essential part of the team. Though she’s new to the real estate world, she brings over 20 years of customer service experience and a passion for helping people, whether they’re property owners, tenants, or prospective clients.

As a U.S. Army veteran, Tasha understands the unique challenges military families face when relocating, and she brings that perspective and empathy to every interaction. She’s also the one behind the scenes managing The Springs Team calendar—coordinating between team members, tenants, and owners to keep everything running like clockwork.

With her background in service and dedication to smooth communication, Tasha helps make the entire experience more seamless and welcoming for everyone involved.

Joanne brings over 20 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, working with local property management and construction management companies. Throughout her career, she has supported operations across Commercial, Multi-Family, and Residential Management, thriving in the fast-paced and ever-changing nature of the industry.

Having lived in Colorado for more than 30 years since being stationed at Ft. Carson, Joanne has developed a strong connection to the state’s vibrant communities and scenic landscapes. In her free time, she enjoys hiking the many beautiful trails around the area.
